General Instructions to the candidates appearing for Ph.D. Interview - online
- The results are provisional and subject to fulfillment of eligibility conditions prescribed in the prospectus. The interse ranking of the candidates who have got the same marks has been decided based on the criteria given in the Prospectus.
- Please note that the candidates called for Ph.D. interview are not guaranteed provisional admission.
- University Departments
- The Ph.D. candidates who have been selected for interview along with schedule is available in the website. Please note that interview will be conducted through online
- The Ph.D. candidates who are to appear for interview should send the following to HoD of concerned department through email/ google form before 2nd January, 2021
- scanned copy of educational qualification as mentioned in (3) below
- Two page Research proposal indicating topic of proposed research, objectives, methodology and significance.
- A power point presentation (maximum 5 slides) on the topic of proposed research.
- The candidates will be allowed for interview only if they had provided the above documents through email
- Scanned copy of Certificates/documents to be sent to HOD before Interview
- X Std or equivalent certificate/mark statement along with age proof.
- H.Sc. or its equivalent certificate/mark Statement
- Degree/Provisional certificate of the UG & PG qualifying Degree Examination along with mark statements.
- OBC with Non- Creamy Layer certificate/EWS certificate recently issued (i.e. issued after 1st January, 2020) by competent Authority, in case of OBC/EWS candidates respectively.
- SC/ST/PH Certificate from competent authority as applicable.
- Migration/Transfer certificate and Conduct certificate from the institution last studied.
- No-Objection certificate/study permission, Experience Certificate from present employer in case of Part-time(Internal/External) or working candidates.
- Candidates whose final exam result is awaited, may also report for admission with all the available certificates & mark statements. They will be considered for admission only on provisional basis, subject to production of final mark list & provisional certificates on or before 31st January, 2021.
- Based on total marks scored by the individual candidates in both entrance examination (70% weightage) and personal interview & academic record (30% weightage), the respective Head of the Department/Centre will display the list of provisionally selected candidates for admission
- The selected candidates should pay the fees (see prospectus for fee details) and take admission on or before last date mentioned in the select list. Otherwise the seat will be allotted to the waitlisted candidates.
- Entrance Exam Exempted Category: The names of the candidate under entrance exam exempted category called for interview is also listed.
If any candidate’s name who had applied under entrance exam exempted category/ MOU doesn’t appear in the interview list, they shall contact the HOD and with his consent may appear for interview in the prescribed date and time.
- The link for online interview and actual time of interview will be communicated/sent to candidates by the concerned departments.
- Affiliated Institutions: The admission to the Ph. D. courses offered at affiliated institutions will be processed separately as per the merit and intimated to the candidates by respective institutions in due course.
