Pondicherry University Professor Wins SDG Visionary Women Award

Vice-Chancellor Prof. P. Prakash Babu congratulated Prof. Charumathi. He praised her research leadership and contributions to inclusive development through the SDGs. He said her achievement brings pride to Pondicherry University.

Prof. B. Charumathi from the Department of Management Studies at Pondicherry University has received the SDG Visionary Women Award 2026. She won in the “National Inclusive Impact Leader” category.

The award was given by KSR College of Engineering and IEEE Women in Engineering SBAG during International Women’s Day events on March 7, 2026.

Prof. Charumathi earned this honor for her work on UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Her research covers ESG governance, climate disclosure, gender diversity in leadership, and the Corporate Social Justice Disclosure Index (CSJDI). She also leads entrepreneurship programs as Director of ACIC–PUSH and Coordinator of the Pondicherry University Startup Club.
