- For ‘C’ Certificate Holders. Specific vacancies in the Army, Air Force and Navy are allotted for NCC ‘C’ certificate holders. For officers, there are no UPSC written exams. After application, the cadet is called directly for SSB interview, which he/she has to clear before final selection as per the merit list. Each service reserves the following vacancies as officers: –
- 64 seats per year at IMA & 100 seats per year at OTA.
- 06 seats per course through the Naval SSB.
- Air Force. 10% vacancies in all courses through the Air Force SSB.
- There will be 5-10% bonus marks for recruitment in the Army, Navy, and Air Force ranks.
- Bonus marks for employment in CAPF/ Para Military Forces and the Department of Telecommunications.
- Can apply for a gazetted post in the CRPF if the cadet is a graduate.
- Preference in State Services and also in the private sector.
- Employment within NCC as Whole Time Lady Officer, Girl Cadet Instructor, Aero and Ship Modelling Instructor.
- In the Air Force Academy, 5% of seats are reserved for Girls candidates holding NCC ‘C’ certificates.
- In OTA Chennai, seats are reserved for Girls candidates holding NCC ‘C’ certificates (Seats are notified annually).
- CWS awards a scholarship of Rs. 6000/- per cadet for 100 NCC cadets yearly to academically brilliant students.
- Grant of Best Cadet Award of Rs. 3500/- and 2nd Best Cadet Award of Rs. 2500/- at each Group level.

NCC Air Wing was formed in 2011 under 1(P) Air Sqn NCC, Puducherry Group, having its headquarters at Puducherry. It was formed with an aim of grooming tomorrow’s pilots and Air Force Officers. Being a constituent college, Pondicherry University Community College’s enrolment is also being carried out by the PU Air Wing NCC. A total of 50 cadets are being enrolled under PU and PUCC.
Candidates of integrated courses (1st and 2nd year) at Pondicherry University and candidates for bachelor’s degree courses at PUCC are eligible to enroll.
