• Holds two doctoral degrees in the field of Computer Science. The first Ph.D. was completed in 1999 as a full-time research scholar in the Department of Electronics, Madras Institute of Technology, Anna University. The second doctoral degree was awarded in 2014 in the field of Computer Science and Engineering from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, India, through part-time research.

• Accomplished a Post-Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) in the Faculty of Engineering at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in the year 2001.

• Recognised Ph.D. Supervisor in the Faculty of Information and Communication Engineering at Anna University and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad. Successfully supervised and completed four Ph.D. scholars in the field of Computer Science and Engineering at Anna University, Chennai, and one Ph.D. scholar in Computer Science and Engineering at JNTU, Hyderabad.

• Currently supervising five Ph.D. scholars in the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Pondicherry University.

• Recognised and nominated as a member of the Board of Studies and Research Boards in several reputed colleges and universities across India, actively contributing to academic and research development.

• Possesses extensive experience in reviewing research publications for numerous internationally reputed journals and conferences, contributing significantly to the advancement of scholarly research.

• Served as a Session Editor for a Springer International Conference in 2014, demonstrating active involvement in academic event organisation and scholarly publication.

• Extensive experience serving as a Ph.D. thesis reviewer and acting as an external examiner (Expert representative) for conducting many Ph.D. viva-voce examinations across various universities in India.

• He is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at SSN College of Engineering, Anna University, Chennai, India. He has extensive teaching and research experience in computer science, with a specialization in Digital Imaging and Distributed computing disciplines.

• He has taught MS Software Engineering learners for four semesters at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA. This international teaching experience has enhanced his pedagogical methods, enabling him to integrate global best practices with the academic environment in India.

• He is dedicated to promoting innovative research, guiding scholars, and advancing software engineering education through interdisciplinary collaboration and curriculum development.

• He is an experienced academic leader and professor in the field of Computer Science and Engineering with over 33 years of distinguished service, including multiple tenures as Head of Department and Principal at reputed engineering institutions affiliated with Anna University, Chennai, India.

• He has taught MTech students for four semesters at the Manipal Institute of Higher Education (MIT), Chennai Centre, Mangalore, Karnataka State, demonstrating strong commitment to graduate-level education.

• With extensive expertise in academics, administration, and research, he has significantly contributed to the engineering faculty’s growth and development. His leadership capabilities are further evidenced by his role as coordinator for numerous Faculty Development Programs, conferences, and seminars throughout his career.

• Nominated by the Registrar of Anna University as an expert committee member, he has actively participated in inspection teams evaluating self-financed engineering colleges across Tamil Nadu. He has also served as a doctoral committee member for over 100 Ph.D. candidates across various engineering universities, providing critical academic and research guidance to support the successful completion of their doctoral work.

• His prolific research output includes more than 75 publications in reputed national and international journals and conferences with high impact factors. He is the author of the internationally circulated book, Cloud Computing: A Practical Approach (Pearson, 2014).

• His innovative research has led to one Indian patent and five international patents. Recognized for his professional excellence, he holds senior memberships in ACM and IEEE since 2018 and is a life member of the Computer Society of India and ISTE, as well as a member of IETE and IAENG, India.
