Research Area
V.Dhanalakshmi is presently working as an Associate Professor in the Subramania Bharathi School of Tamil Language & Literature, Pondicherry University. She has 20 years of teaching experience. Her Research area includes Tamil Grammar, Sangam Literature, Linguistics, Tamil Computing & Natural Language Processing. She has developed Tamil Computing Tools like Tamil POS Tagger, Tamil Morphological Analyzer & Generator, Tamil Syntactic Parser and Classical Tamil literature & Grammar software. She has received Tamil Nadu Chief Minister “Kanini Thamizh” (Tamil Computing) Award -2020. She has completed one Research project funded by the Central Institute of Classical Tamil and successfully coordinated and implemented 15 Tamil Computing Projects at Tamil Virtual Academy during the year 2016-2018. She has written two books and published 70 research articles in peer-reviewed National, International journals, Conferences and Seminars. She has been a subject expert in Tamil Nadu New syllabus & Book work for Advance Tamil Course. Currently she is involved with Tamil Virtual Academy in preparing syllabus and books for Tamil diaspora. She has successfully guided four Ph.D. candidates.
