Dr. Binu Zachariah is a PhD holder from the University of Hyderabad with a teaching experience of 25 years. At present he is Professor and Head in the Department of English, Pondicherry University. He is also the Co-ordinator of the Post Graduate Diploma Programme in Professional Communication in English. He is the Liaison Officer and Grievance Redressal Officer for Persons with Disabilities. He is a member of the Pondicherry University Court and member of the School Board of Humanities and School Board of Social Sciences. He is also the chairperson of the Board of Studies in English in Pondicherry University. He has published several papers related to literature, language and communication in reputed journals and books. He has also made presentations in national and international seminars & conferences. In addition to this, he has delivered talks and lectures on various aspects of literary studies and communication skills and has also organized several conferences, workshops and training programs. He has produced eight PhDs in addition to several M. Phil scholars. He teaches a wide variety of courses in literature and language to post graduate students.
