Research Area
I am Gangineni Ramesh Babu, Professor at Department of Physics, Pondicherry University. I have obtained my Master’s degree in 2002 from University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad, Telangana. I received my Ph.D. degree in 2008 from Technical University Dresden & Leibnitz institute for solid state physics and Materials Research, Dresden, Germany under the guidance of Prof. Kathrin Doerr and Prof. Ludwig Schultz. During my Ph.D., I was involved in the study of Extrinsic magneto-transport and its dependence upon in-situ strain in Manganite thin films. After my Ph.D., I have worked as a post-doctoral fellow at SPINTEC/CEA/CNRS, Grenoble, France in the area of Magnetic Tunnel Junctions. I have joined the Department of Physics, Pondicherry University in August 2010. And currently, my research group is working on the Study of electronic transport across ferroelectric, ferromagnetic & multiferroic functional thin film devices for memory & sensing applications.
