Dr. Suraj K Sinha (Professor, Physics), born in Hazaribag, Jharkhand in 1975. He received B.Sc. Physics (Honours) degree from Vinoba Bhave University (Hazaribag) in 1996 and M.Sc. Physics (Condensed Matter) from Pondicherry University in 2001. He joined Institute for Plasma Research as Junior Research Fellow in 2001 towards his Ph.D. degree and Awarded Buti Young Scientist Award by Plasma Science Society of India in 2005. In 2006, joined Samtel Color Limited and involved on R&D of Plasma Display Panel under New Millennium Technology Development Initiative of Govt. of India. He Department of Physics, Pondicherry University in 2010 and received Best Teacher Award (2011). In 2013, received Raman Fellow (UGC, GOI) and worked as Research Fellow at Department Physics and Department of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics, Austin the University at Texas at Austin, USA. He founded Energy Science Society of India (ESSI), with Prof. R. Murugan Energy in 2013 for research and outreach of energy research. Five scholars awarded Ph.D. under his supervision. He has introduced concept of PM-Junction (Plasma-Metal Junction) in 2020, which may be highly significant for hybrid of classical and quantum computation technique. He has recently concept soil rejuvenation combining Biological Nitrogen Fixation and Lightening. He has published more than 35 papers in international journals.
