Dr. Subhadip Bhadra
About
Research Area
I am a field geologist having specialization in Structural Geology, Tectonics and Metamorphic Petrology. My research interest lies in understanding convergent plate margins processes. I use a combination macro- to micro-scale fabric analysis, petrofabric analysis, petrochronology and theoretical modeling to unravel intricate feedback relationship of thermo-tectonic processes from the archive of naturally deformed and metamorphosed rocks, exposed along ancient plate boundaries. An intriguing component of my research is to evaluate and reconcile the impact of crustal accretionary processes in controlling temporal – spatial architecture of the continents and their bearing on planetary evolutionary processes.
