This course is tailor-made for students who want to pursue their career opportunities in the International Law. Our specifically designed course offers a perfect blend of theoretical knowledge and practical understanding required in the current world scenario. The Papers covered are Principles of General International Law, International Humanitarian and Criminal Law, International Human Rights, Law of International Organisation, International Environmental Law, Economic and Trade Law, Law of Sea, Air and Space Law, Comparative IPR, International Diplomatic Law, Disarnament and peace strategies. This blended subjects will make the students understand prevailing issues and addressing them effectively. The students will be immensely benefited after exploring the wide range of subjects in International Law at an advanced level and in the varied context of the changing transnational world.

Eligibility for Admission
  1. In order to be eligible for admission into the two years LL.M. an applicant should have successfully completed LL.B./B.A.LL.B. or equivalent recognized by Pondicherry University and the Bar Council of India.
  2. Further, the candidates applying for admission to this course should have obtained LL.B.  Degree or its equivalent with not less than 50% of marks (45% in case of SC/ ST) in the  aggregate in all the 3 years/ 5years of B.L/ L.L.B Degree Course.

Admission procedure
The in-take for LL.M. programme is 40. The admission to the above courses shall be made on the basis of Merit list generated from CUET score.

Evaluation
Internal Assessment is 40% of Marks. The internal assessment marks shall be given as per the following breakup:
  1. Internal written exam: 20 marks
  2. Written assignment/ Project Submission: 10 marks
  3. Seminar Presentation and Viva Voce: 05 marks
  4. Attendance (as per SAMS) 05 marks
  • Total: 40 marks.
End Semester examination is for 60%marks. All examinations will be conducted by the School of Law. End Semester Examination would be a 3-hour written test, consisting of Questions in Part A and Part B signifying long and short answer type questions.
