The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. P. Prakash Babu, inaugurated the Research and Cultural Forum (RCF) of the Department of English, which regularly organizes invited talks and paper presentations. From this academic year, RCF has also introduced an alumni segment called Alumni Imprint, where distinguished alumni of the Department are invited to share their memories of the University, their journey to their present position after leaving the University, and give a talk. The first alumnus to initiate Alumni Imprint was Dr. Clement S. Lourdes, former Director, Culture and Cultural Relations, Pondicherry University
