International Youth Day has been celebrated by the Red Ribbon Club, Pondicherry University, Port Blair Campus on 12-08-2026 by conducting  a seminar by Dr. Ezhilarasan, Assistant Professor, Department of Community Medicine, Andaman & Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences (ANIIMS), Port Blair on the topic “DRUG FREE INDIA AWARENESS & Reproductive Tract Infections ”. The session started with a welcome address by Dr. K. A. Jayaraj, Associate Professor and Nodal Officer, Red Ribbon Club of this campus followed by a felicitation address by Prof (Dr.) G. Padmavati, HoD,  Dept of Ocean Studies and Marine Biology.  During  the session, Dr. Ezhilarasan emphasized the need of awareness on the drug usage among the youth. He  has enlighten the youngsters about STDs (Sexually Transmitted Diseases) and RTIs (Reproductive Tract Infections). The session was thought provoking and made awareness among the audience  to fight against the Drugs and for moulding a responsible, healthy  citizen of India to work for the progress of the country.
