I would like to thank the Pondicherry University for giving me an oppourtunity to study M.L.I.Sc. course. My sincere thanks goes to my supervisor Prof. C.K Ramaiah Dept. of LIS for his unfailing patient, valuable input, meticulous commitment, constant support,and encouragement through out the entire course of my project. My special thanks goes to Stephen Ankang, Sir Mark Chiphang, Sir Franky, Sir Solomon, Richard Keishing, Perennial studio who has helped me in getting the required content for developing this exhibition. Thanks to Akhilnath KS and Ajesh George for giving me all the required software for developing and helping me in designing.

A diverse and multifaceted online exhibition. Tangkhul tribe festivals an online exhibition is the only online exhibition on Tangkhul tribe festival (TTF) ever developed. The TTF is dedicated to perform as a resource for the Tangkhul tribe festivals and to serve the greater public as an honest and thoughtful conduit to Tangkhul tribe festivals present and past in all richness, depth, and diversity. The TTF cover major festivals celebrated by contemporary Tangkhul people covering occasion, season, timing, entertainment, costume and objectives of the festivals.

This online exhibition is developed by Somipam R. Shimray as a part of partial fulfillment of the requirements for the Degree of Master (Library and Information Science) of the Pondicherry Central University under the guidance of Professor C.K. Ramaiah Department of Library and Information science.

Aim and Objectives of the Project
The aim of this project is to Design and Develop an “Online Exhibition on the Tangkhul Tribe Festivals”.

The Objectives of this study are:

  1. To review the past research done in the design and development of an Online Exhibitions.
  2. To know the user requirements of an online exhibition for Tangkhul Tribe Festivals.
  3. To identify tools and technologies that are required for the development of an online exhibitions.
  4. To design and development of an online exhibition on Tangkhul Tribe Festivals for educating schools/colleges/universities.
  5. To evaluate the online exhibition with the help of University students.
