Luira celebration is a New Year celebration, the beginning of a new cycle of agriculture activities.The main purposes of Luira (phanit) festival is to invoke divine blessing of God for the crops to be cultivated during the year and for bountiful harvest. It is also a festival of expressing brother and sister relationship.
