Prof. Tharanikkarasu, Vice-Chancellor, congratulated Prof. V. Nagarajan, Professor, Department of Electronics Engineering, for receiving the “IETE Award for Outstanding Contribution in Technical Education” from the IETE Chennai Centre during IETE Teachers Day & Engineer’s Day celebration.

Dr. Pavithra, Assistant Professor, Department of Performing Arts, Pondicherry University has been conferred Nataka Academy award 2023-24 by Govt. of Karnataka in recognition of her contribution in the field of Theatre as an artist , Director and Academician .

Honourable President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu conferred National Teachers Award to Dr. C. Jaya Sankar Babu, Head Department of Hindi, Pondicherry University on Teachers’ Day at New Delhi.

Dr. Richa Agnihotri, Research Associate-III, Indo-Swiss Joint Research Project at the Centre for Sustainability and Climate Studies, Pondicherry University, was facilitated by Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor on receiving the Young Scientist Award.

Research & Collaborations

The MoU between Pondicherry University and NCRD’s, Sterling College of Arts, Commerce, Science, Mumbai has been signed in the august presence of Vice-Chancellor (i/c) Prof. K. Tharanikkarasu.

Pondicherry University signed an MoU with University of East Paris (UPEC). Dr.G.Subhalakshmi, Assistant Professor & MoU Coordinator handed over the signed Specific Mobility Implementation Convention (SMIC) to the honourable Vice-Chancellor(i/c) Prof. K.Tharanikkarasu in the presence of Prof. Subramanya Raju Dean (International Relations) and Prof.S.Victor Anandkumar, Dean (i/c) and Dr.Gurminder Kaur, Head(i/c) School of Law along with the other faculty members

Pondicherry University signed an MoU with M/s.Pawan Hans Ltd on 03.05.2024. Vice-Chancellor Prof. K. Tharanikkarasu presided over the signing ceremony. Director (C&CR), Registrar (i/c), Dean (IR), Dr. B. Charumathi, and other officials were present.

Changing my field of study from Biotechnology to Bioinformatics was a big step but the course structure of the program made it a lot easier to adapt to. With both experimental and computational facilities in Centre for Bioinformatics, Pondicherry University, it provides a promising opportunity for study and research"
