Professor R. Balakrishnan Endowment Fund


The aim of this endowment is to help students and research scholars, who have no financial support, to participate in conferences and also offer 'Best paper award' at the Annual Conferences held by the Ramanujan Mathematical Society (RMS).


Terms and Conditions:

1. About 4 to 5 participants (students and research scholars without any financial support like scholars not receiving JRF, SRF and other scholarships) of the annual conference of RMS will be provided Rs. 2,000/- each.

2. Preference will be given to those who present papers.

3. About 4 math students/ scholars from each of the 4 institutions:
National College, Trichy;
Annamalai University, Chidambaram;
Bharathidasan University, Trichy and
Periyar University, Salem

will be supported to the tune of Rs. 2,000/- to attend any conference / workshop organized by the (Deemed) Universities/ Central Institutions.

4. The conference / workshop must be for at least 3 days.

Selection for the above support will be based on the recommendation of the concerned
Head of the Department/ Institution. Selected candidates will be informed through email.

Note: Completed application form should be sent through e-mail to Prof. A. Muthusamy, the Coordinator of Prof. RB Endowment and the copy to the members of the Endowment Committee at least 2 weeks before conference. The amount will be sent after the event and after the receipt of the Attendance Certificate.
