About the Course


This two week course through lecture and hands on training provides a platform for exploring the methodological possibilities of digital technologies for interdisciplinary humanities and social sciences research. It seeks to sensitize participants to this fast emerging and evolving discipline in interdisciplinary studies. It covers several major digital research methods, exploring previous applications and examining their orientations and implications. It will cover Digital research methods and applications which include data visualisation, network analysis, geographical information systems, data mining and simulation. The course will also address questions related to the evolution of digital texts and practices, and contemporary culture such as digital design, gamification, virtual identity, and digital rights
