• Candidates are short-listed for Group Discussion and Personal Interview on the basis of their performance in CAT. Final selection to the MBA program would be based on performance in CAT, Group discussion and Personal interview.
• Group discussion
• A contemporary, business-relevant topic will be given to a group.
• A list of topics will be placed in a box and a volunteer from each group will pick up one topic and will read out to the group.
• One minute will be given to the group to think over and note down the points.
• As soon as a bell goes, the group will start discussing the topic.
• A group may consist of 5-7 members and the entire discussion may last for 10-12 minutes, depending on the time availability and the decision of the selection committee.
• Every one will get chances for contribution and no one is expected to dominate and prevent others from expressing ideas.
• The selection committee will be observing the group discussion and evaluate each group member on parameters such as communication skills, familiarity with the topic, general behaviour, inter-personal skills and leadership skills.
• Your adherence to time limit will be appreciated.
• The following sample topics are suggested to give an idea to the candidates: India as an economic superpower – Cost Vs. Benefit, Priorities for India today, IPL Cricket league – Money matters, Stock Exchange Volatility and so on.
• The Selection Committee members will not interfere or make any comments.
• Every candidate is expected to speak and if any one remains silent, it is to that candidate’s disadvantage.
• Personal interview
• The candidate will meet with the selection committee which will question the candidate on his/her self and domestic background, the fundamental understanding of his/her under-graduation and past track record in academic, co- and extra-curricular activities, general awareness of the environment like politics, economy, society, games etc. It is expected that the candidate comes after reading the daily news paper.
• Questions may also be asked from the information furnished by the candidate at the time of applying for the MBA program.
• The interview may last for 10-12 minutes, depending on the time availability and the decision of the selection committee.
• The candidates will be evaluated on parameters such as communication skills, subject knowledge, track record, attitude and personality.
• The candidates appearing for GD and personal interview are advised to dress formally and in a presentable manner.
• Please report on time and with all the documents mentioned in the call letter.
• You are required to bring a photocopy of all your documents mentioned in the call letter.
• If for any reason, you are not able to attend the GD and personal interview, do inform us in advance so as to avoid lot of inconveniences in our selection process.
