Eligibility Conditions for admission:

For PG Diploma Courses except Computer Applications, Simulation and Modeling, Biotechnology: Any UG/PG degree with a minimum of 45% of marks is necessary.

For Computer Applications & For Simulation & Modeling : Any degree with 45% of marks with Mathematics as one of the subjects studies in the Higher Secondary or Degree or during the first three years of 5 years M.Sc. Integrated Courses.

For Biotechnology: Degree in any branch of Biological Sciences with a minimum of 45% of marks.

For Certificate Courses: Tamil, Japanese, Russian, Korean, Chinese , French : A pass in the Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination or its equivalent

For SC/ST candidates, mere pass in the qualifying examination will be sufficient.

Candidates studying in the fourth year / fifth year of Five Year Integrated Courses of the University are also eligible to study these courses.

Minimum Duration of the Course :
Two semesters (One Year) (for both Diploma & Certificate Courses)
Maximum Duration to complete the Course:
Four Semesters (Two Years) (for both Diploma & Certificate Courses)

* Optional for others who desire to use the university library (for reference only). A separate Library Card will be issued in such cases. Semester wise exams will be conducted by the Department / Centre conducting these courses.
The exam fees are as:
Rs. 300/- per semester for Diploma Courses and
Rs. 250/- per semester for Certificate Courses.

SELECTION PROCEDURE
Admission will be based on the marks secured in the qualifying degree.
COURSE TIMINGS
DIPLOMA: 2 hours a day for five days from 5.30 PM to 7.30 PM, on working days.
CERTIFICATE : 2 hours a day for four days preferably from 5.30 PM to 7.30 PM, on working days.
Saturdays and Sundays may be utilized at the discretion of the concerned Department, depending upon the requirement.
ATTENDANCE: A minimum of 70% of attendance is required for writing the examination.
NOTE : Application forms can be downloaded from the website.
Application forms have to be submitted with all relevant copies of Certificates. (Before taking the printout,set the print page to LEGAL SIZE)
